The “Myanmar Gem Charity Exhibition in Macau” is jointly organized by the Macau Chinese Charitable Foundation and the International Foundation for the Peace Elimination of Opium Crops (IFPEOC), with the support of the Macau Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Buddhist Culture Promotion Association.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition took place on May 12 at the lobby of The Plaza Restaurant. In her remarks, Ke Qiong, President of the Macau Chinese Charitable Foundation, emphasized that every donation collected through the exhibition would be used to support victims and survivors of the recent March 28 mega-earthquake in Myanmar.

That same afternoon, a special lecture was delivered by Larry Chung, President of the IFPEOC), shared his years of experience leading teams deep into the Golden Triangle to promote anti-drug campaigns.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Lao Ngai Leong, Deputy Chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and deputy to the National People’s Congress; Zhu Hao, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Department of the Central Government Liaison Office in Macau; Leonel Alves, Member of the National Committee of the CPPCC and President of the General Assembly of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Macau; Ao Cam Iong, Chairperson of the Lingnan Education Development Association of Macau; legislator Leong Hong Sai.
