Hac Sá Youth Adventure Camp launches first stage of tendering

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) today announced the commencement of the first stage of tendering for the Hac Sá Youth Adventure Camp project, slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The project, with a budget controlled between MOP 500-600 million, aims to establish a comprehensive leisure activity space for all age groups and a dedicated outdoor training base for Macau’s youth. The 10-hectare site will feature a wide array of “water, land, and air” adventure activities.

The first phase of tendering focuses on play equipment and facilities. The first phase of construction is expected to be put out to open tender in the third quarter of this year. The quadricycle track and camping area are projected to open in the latter half of 2026. The IAM aims to complete all phases of construction simultaneously, with trial operation commencing in the fourth quarter of 2027.

According to the IAM, the core elements of the project – the camp’s positioning, layout, and functional area divisions – remain unchanged. Adjustments and optimizations have been made to construction structures and methods, along with specialized designs to ensure safety, quality, and strict budget control.

The adventure camp will offer diverse activities, including an adventure tower, climbing wall, high-altitude zipline, aerial rope course, rope course training challenge, low climbing net, children’s quadricycles, mountain bike track, skateboarding zone, wargame zone, garden for popularisation of natural science, and aquatic adventures.

The completed camp will also serve as a “second classroom” for schools, integrating exercise and learning to promote comprehensive physical and mental health development.

Addressing concerns about water accumulation in the low-lying catchment area, the IAM will construct a small artificial lake utilizing the terrain and existing reservoir. This lake will serve multiple purposes, including rainwater regulation and storage, while also incorporating leisure, water-friendly, and green landscape elements. This will help alleviate potential flooding issues caused by heavy rain at the camp site.
