US singer Madonna has been hospitalized with a “severe bacterial infection”, her publicist Guy Oseary has revealed. The “Celebration” tour, which was due to start on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada, has been suspended.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which caused her to be admitted to the intensive care unit for several days. Her health is improving, but she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” wrote Guy Oseary in an Instagram post. “At this time, we will need to suspend all commitments, including the tour. We will share more details as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
The “Celebration” tour was going to pass in Portugal on the 6th and 7th of November 2023 at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon.
