Two Russian armed groups – who have been fighting alongside the Ukrainians – made an incursion on Monday through a border post northwest of Kharkiv, to which the governor of Belgorod responded with the activation of the “anti-terrorist state”, while unconfirmed news realized that the Russian military had removed nuclear weapons stored a few kilometers away.
The response from the Russian authorities arrived the next day. According to the Russian news agency TASS, which quoted Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov, “in the framework of an anti-terrorist operation, the Russian military annihilated Ukrainian nationalist formations that had infiltrated the Grayvoronsky district in the Belgorod region.” , which amounted to “about 70 Ukrainian terrorists eliminated”.
