The government has today awarded two licenses to operate the 5G service. One to CTM and the other to China Telecom Macau, the only two companies that submitted to the tender to explore the 5G network
Licenses are for eight years and can be renewed for the same period or a shorter period.
The service must start within one year from the date of issue of the licence.
CTM and China Telecom Macau must pay the Government a fee of five percent in relation to the gross revenue from operating the service.
