The Government of Macau now only guarantees a quarantine at no cost to residents of the designated hotels. As of September 1, anyone who makes a second medical observation has to pay 5,600 patacas, Betty Fok, of the Tourism Bureau, announced this afternoon.
“As the quarantine needs to mobilize the public purse, it will be necessary, that the second time, people start to pay the respective costs”, he affirmed, in the press conference of the new type of coronavirus.
Betty Fok justified that “residents have to be more cautious when they want to move to other regions or countries”.
