Brazil has 67,900 deaths and 1 million cured

The country accumulates 1.7 million confirmed cases of the new coronavirus.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, released today (8), Brazil has accumulated 1,713,160 confirmed cases and 67,964 deaths from the new coronavirus. The country today reached the mark of one million recovered cases of covid-19.

In the last 24 hours, 1,223 deaths have been added to official records. There are still 4,105 deaths under investigation. The panel of the agency also brought 44,571 new cases diagnosed from yesterday (7) to today. 624,695 patients infected with the new coronavirus are being followed up in the country.

On Tuesday’s balance sheet, the country had recorded 66,741 deaths and 1,668,589 accumulated cases of covid-19 since the beginning of the records.

In a press conference held today in Brasília, the Ministry of Health team presented the evolution of the pandemic in the country, highlighting a stability in the number of deaths curve and an increase in the confirmed cases curve.
States
The states with the most deaths are São Paulo (16,788), Rio de Janeiro (10,970), Ceará (6,665), Pernambuco (5,323) and Pará (5,169). The Federation units with the least deaths from the pandemic are Mato Grosso do Sul (134), Tocantins (233), Roraima (386), Acre (404) and Santa Catarina (432).
