Brussels advanced 1 billion, but part may be to return

“There are 600 million euros, which I am grateful to the European Commission, but it is only a matter of two months’ anticipation” of a payment due in September.

In a press video conference organized by the European Parliament (EP), with the presence of the minister and MEPs Margarida Marques and José Manuel Fernandes, the two Portuguese leaders of the EP negotiation team for the Multiannual Financial Framework, the minister acknowledged that “there has been resource flexibility “on the part of Europe, but made it clear that this does not mean new money. “It is not possible to have more funds”, declared the minister.
