Pulmonologist Damião Victoriano, warned yesterday in Luanda that, with the arrival of the cacimbo season, which officially begins on May 15, acute respiratory diseases will be confused with Covid-19.
Damião Victoriano, who was speaking during a lecture on the topic “Covid-19 and other acute respiratory diseases”, held at the Aníbal de Melo Press Center (CIAM), highlighted, among these diseases, the common cold, flu, viral infectious diseases, as well as adenovirus. The specialist in pneumology, who is also the clinical director of Hospital Sanatório de Luanda, recalled that the new coronavirus is also part of acute respiratory diseases, which usually occur in cold periods.
