O Jogo

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, the debut of the new Club World Cup, which was initially scheduled for June 2021 in China, should be postponed by FIFA to 2022. The remodeled event is expected to involve the continental champions of the past four seasons.

The decision will be linked to the postponement of the European Championship, which has now filled the dates of the new Club World Cup. The name circulating for the event is Super24 and should take place every four years. The competition, approved by FIFA last year, was opposed by UEFA, which by the number of clubs saw it as a competition for the Champions League.
