No definitive agreement on Iran during Netanyahu’s visit with Trump

This was Netanyahu’s sixth visit to the White House since Trump began his second term in January 2025. The meeting occurred shortly after U.S. and Iranian officials held indirect talks in Oman aimed at preventing military confrontation in the region, Al Jazeera reported.

Trump characterized the meeting as “very good” and highlighted the strong relationship between the U.S. and Israel. However, he maintained that reaching a deal with Iran was still uncertain, stating that they would have to see how negotiations progressed.

Trump also hinted at the possibility of further military actions against Iran, recalling a previous conflict in June when U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear sites were conducted following stalled negotiations. He expressed hope that Iran would be more reasonable this time in discussions.

Netanyahu’s office disclosed that they discussed Israel’s security needs and agreed on continued coordination, covering topics including negotiations with Iran and regional developments.
