At the 31st Thailand International Travel Fair (TITF 2026), held in Bangkok, MGTO promoted Macau through a collaboration between its tourism mascot “Mak Mak” and the popular Thai IP character “Warbie Yama”. The initiative featured interactive installations, performances and the promotion of tourism products, with the Macau booth attracting around 24,000 visitors over the four-day event. Travel agencies, booking platforms and airlines also joined in promoting multi-destination tourism products.
At the Indonesia International Travel Fair 2026 (ASTINDO Travel Fair) in Jakarta, MGTO renewed its partnership with the local IP “Tahilalats”, highlighting Macau’s World Heritage sites, gastronomy, events and the “Macau for Muslim Travellers – Halal Travel Guide”. The campaign also included social media promotion, with a promotional video surpassing 1.47 million views.
According to MGTO, Thailand and Indonesia ranked among Macau’s top five international visitor source markets last year, recording year-on-year growth of 38.1 per cent and 13.6 per cent, respectively. The office will continue to expand the Southeast Asian market through promotional activities, participation in international tourism fairs and by encouraging the development of new tourism products.
