According to data released by the Public Security Police, overall inbound and outbound traffic reached 5.536 million crossings, or a daily average of 692,000, up 2.2 percent year-on-year.
The Border Gate checkpoint handled the largest share of traffic, accounting for 50.9 percent of all entries and exits. It was followed by Qingmao Port (15.6 percent), Hengqin Port (15.1 percent), and the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge checkpoint (11.3 percent).
In terms of visitor composition, mainland Chinese tourists made up the majority at 82.4 percent, followed by Hong Kong visitors at 11.2 percent. Travelers from Taiwan and other overseas regions accounted for 1.4 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
October 4th recorded the highest traffic during the holiday, with 821,000 border crossings and 191,000 visitor arrivals — both setting new records for National Day Golden Week, reflecting Macau’s sustained tourism momentum.
