President Lula called his domestic accident serious but said it did not affect the most sensitive part of his head. He stated that the medical team needs a few days to know the “damage caused by the blow.”
The statements were made in a phone call with Luiz Caetano, candidate for the Mayor of Camaçari (Bahia). He posted the conversation on social media.
Lula, who is 78 years old, fell in the bathroom of the Palácio da Alvorada and hit his head on Saturday (19), without losing consciousness.
“I had an accident. It was serious, but it didn’t affect any more sensitive parts. I am taking care because anything with the head is very strong,” Lula told Caetano.
“The doctors say I have to wait about three or four days for them to know what damage the blow caused.”
