The 44-year-old has been tempted by an offer that would make him one of the world’s best-paid managers, newspaper O Globo said on Monday.
It added that Ferreira would delay a decision until after his team’s last match of the Brazilian Serie A season against Cruzeiro in Belo Horizonte on Wednesday.
Ferreira has guided Palmeiras to two Copa Libertadores titles – South American football’s most coveted trophy – and a Copa do Brasil triumph in his three years at the helm. A draw against Cruzeiro will guarantee the club’s 13th Sere A title.
Ferreira has a year remaining on his Palmeiras contract and has described rumors of his departure as “speculation”.
