“LeBron James sucks! That was the chorus that emerged among supporters of Donald Trump at a campaign rally in the state of Pennsylvania on Monday, according to TMZ. The basketball star is a staunch critic of the candidate for re-election to the United States presidency and was one of the most active voices in the protests in the NBA against police violence.
Trump was critical of the basketball league when the chant against the Los Angeles Lakers player was pulled. The Republican politician blamed the athletes’ political activism for a drop in the audience for the games and for a lack of interest in sport.
