Study reveals that probability of death in children with Covid-19 is rare

Only 8% of infected children developed severe illness and less than 1% lost their lives.

The death of children associated with Covid-19 is very rare and occurs in less than 1% of cases, as the disease is usually moderate in that age group, according to a European investigation in which 82 health facilities participated.

The study published in the specialized magazine The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, cited by the agency France Presse (AFP), includes children from 3 years old and young people up to 18.
