A Miami doctor, who was testing homeless Covid-19s on the streets, accused the US police of racism because he was arrested at his home.
Armen Henderson, as the images prove, was packing some material in a van and in the meantime a Miami police car appears, questioning him about the garbage he had in the yard. The policeman asks the doctor for identification, he says he doesn’t have it and ends up being handcuffed.
“If I were a lighter-skinned or white person, just doing the same thing, I don’t think the policeman approached me. The nature of the approach is what worries me. The policeman put his finger in my face and told me to treat him as a sergeant and not as a sir. It was humiliating, it put me in danger, my job at risk, the people I love in laughter and also my patients, “said Armen Henderson on CNN.
