Diário de Notícias

This Thursday, a month ago, the first two cases of covid-19 in Portugal were confirmed . And the country now has 9034 cases of infection, registering 209 deaths and 68 recovered, shows the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), today (April 2).

In the last week, the curve of new cases and new deaths has slowed for a few days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), to increase again this Tuesday and Wednesday. There is still to be taken into account the meteorological factor, as the infeciologist Jaime Nina points out, since in the last two days the weather has been more overcast, rainy and “the virus survives better in the humid environment”.
