A worldwide live joined efforts for the Amazon, a region that is experiencing dramatic moments due to the covid-19. Names like Jane Fonda, Barbra Streisand or Morgan Freeman joined Wagner Moura, Carlos Nobre, Sônia Guajajara and Maria Gadu, in addition to scientists and indigenous leaders.
The objective was to promote the Amazon Emergency Fund, launched in April by a group of indigenous organizations, NGOs and allies to respond to the needs of indigenous peoples in the nine countries of the Amazon, threatened by the pandemic.
