Hengqin ‘university town’ to require MOP20 bln investment

Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai has unveiled further details on the previously announced Policy Address plans for four major infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening Macau’s economic and cultural development over the next decade

Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai has outlined four major construction projects, expressing hopes to meet their objectives within eight to ten years. He stated that the Macau SAR government is implementing the Macau-Hengqin International Education University Town in phases, with construction already underway.

Sam was speaking on Sunday at a meeting with a group of around 100 media representatives from across the country, who are touring the Greater Bay Area to explore the economic progress and prospects of the region’s 11-city cluster.
