A group of computer hackers from Sudan, called Anonymous Sudan, claims to have stolen 30 million data from Microsoft customers through the Outlook service. The information has not yet been confirmed, but the group, which has already asked for a ransom from the North American giant, has proven to be capable of hacking large companies. A few days ago it attacked the airline Scandinavian Airlines.
Through social networks, Microsoft confirmed the occurrence of interruptions and difficulties in the Outlook service, but said they were technical problems.
Also on social media, Anonymous Sudan claim to be responsible. “We can hit any company in the United States. Americans, don’t blame us, blame your government for intervening in Sudanese internal affairs. We will continue to hit large companies, government and infrastructure in the United States”, reads the pirates’ Twitter account, where they complain to Microsoft: “you pay us a million dollars and we teach your computer security specialists how to contain the damage and we stopped the attack”.
