Casinos in Macau are earning 570 million/day in May

In the first 14 days of May, casinos collected revenues of 8 billion patacas, an average of 570 million a day. These are numbers advanced by the investment bank JP Morgan in the most recent analysis of the Macau Gambling market.

For JP Morgan, the figures show that the high level of revenues from the Golden Week of Labor Day was not an “isolated phenomenon” and suggest that the mass market is at this point “between 80 and 85 percent in relation to levels pre-pandemic”, while the VIP sector is currently operating “at 20 to 25 percent of pre-pandemic levels”.

Impressive levels of recovery, says JP Morgan. If these predictions are confirmed, the Game could be on the right track to surpass April revenues – 14.7 billion patacas in gross revenues.
