Denmark wins the handball world for the third consecutive time

This Sunday, Denmark won the World Handball Championship for the third consecutive time, after beating France by 34-29 in the final, in a game played in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Danish team, which at half-time was already leading by 16-15, consolidated the result in the second half and secured the triumph with five goals ahead at the end, managing to be the first to win the world title three times in a row.

Denmark, thus, returns to the highest place on the podium in the World Championship, after triumphs in 2019 and 2021, while France, current Olympic champion, remains with six world titles, being the record holder.

Spain, who beat Sweden 39-36, finished third in the World Cup.
