Number of tourists dropped by almost 25% on the second day of October holidays

28235 visitors arrived in the Macao SAR yesterday on the third day of the holidays associated with the National Day. This is a drop of almost 25 percent compared to Saturday’s records, when 37,442 visitors arrived, the second highest figure of the year, only lower than on April 30, the day before the Labor Day holidays began, when 41,500 tourists arrived in Macau.

On Friday, 30,815 visitors arrived in the SAR, at the time a record number of daily arrivals since the June outbreak. The 3-day average now stands at 32,164 visitors, still above the Tourism Bureau’s expectations that pointed to a daily average of between 20,000 and 25,000 tourists.
