British health officials warned on Wednesday that people with a history of severe allergic reactions should not yet get the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine against covid-19.
A senior official with the British National Health Service (NHS), Stephen Powis, advised anyone who has a “significant history” of allergic reactions to not getting the Pfizer vaccine. At least while the investigation into the two adverse reactions that took place on Tuesday, the first day of the vaccination program in the country, is ongoing, the Associated Press agency said.
The head of the British drug agency MHRA, June Raine, reported in Parliament today on two reports that report possible allergic reactions in some of the people who received the vaccines: “We are analyzing two reports of cases of allergic reactions. We know that in extensive clinical trials this has not happened ”.
