The Franco-Congolese essay writer Alain Mabanckou, wearing a Panama hat and a hot pink jacket with an open collar, dedicated his talk in the Fronteiras do Pensamento cycle, which took place virtually this Wednesday, to what he calls black existentialism.
Mabanckou is based on the thesis that the human being is defined by his actions and not by predestination or by the morality imposed by society. He uses the idea to affirm that the history of Africans is not defined by Europe, but by themselves. What can be a double-edged sword.
