Portugal guarantees 1.8 million for 32 cooperation projects

Portuguese cooperation will finance more than 1.8 million euros 32 projects promoted by 13 civil society organizations in eight countries in Africa and Latin America.

According to information made available online by Camões – Cooperation and Language Institute, in the scope of applications for the co-financing line for cooperation programs, 45 projects from 21 organizations were submitted.

Of these, 32 projects were selected from 13 non-governmental organizations for development (NGDO), corresponding to 1,815,803.24 euros in financing.

Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe are the countries with the largest number of supported projects (nine each) in areas ranging from food to agriculture, tourism, the environment, the fight against alcoholism or the school integration of displaced people in the province from Cabo Delgado.

It follows Cape Verde, with four projects, and Guinea-Bissau and Angola, with three projects each.

Three projects were also approved in Colombia, Cuba and El Salvador.
