Political figures who traveled to Hong Kong to attend Stanley Ho’s funeral were subject to medical quarantine on their return to Macau.
The authorities indicated that the secretary for Economy and Finance is staying in one of the designated hotels, while Edmund Ho is in another location for security reasons. The authorities announced that the secretary for Economy and Finance will be subject to 14 days of medical observation, since returning to Macau. Lei Wai Nong was present last Friday at Stanley Ho’s funeral ceremonies in Hong Kong, representing the Macao SAR Government.
Despite being released from quarantine on arrival in Hong Kong, on his return he had to stay in one of the hotels designated by the health services.
