In a live broadcast on social media, President Jair Bolsonaro said the government is concerned with accelerating the privatization of state-owned companies.
According to him, however, there are difficulties to achieve this. “There are companies that go through Congress, it is not easy.” Bolsonaro said that the Correios “are in line” to be privatized, but that he removed the Casa da Moeda from this organization chart because he understands that it is a “strategic issue”. The president also cited Caixa Econômica Federal, Banco do Brasil and the “Petrobras core” as examples of companies for which there are no privatization plans.
The president stated that the government is concerned with “opening the market” of oil and gas to lower the price to the consumer and also that the minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, “wants to return to the question of the green and yellow portfolio” to decrease hiring costs. “It is no use having all the rights and not having jobs ahead of you. It has to relieve, simplify the labor issue ”, argued Bolsonaro.
