The Chinese parliament will pass a law on “protection of national security” in Hong Kong in the next few days, wich will limit opposition activity, parliamentary spokesman Zhang Yesui said on Thursday.
Quoted by the agencies France-Presse (AFP) and Associated Press (AP), Yesui said that the new legislation will be analyzed during the work of the annual session of the National People’s Assembly (ANP), wich will start Friday in the Chinese capital and which count on the presence of more than three thousand delegates.
