Italy’s sports minister, Vincenzo Spadafora, said on Wednesday that when returning to group training in Serie A, if a footballer accuses the new coronavirus of being positive, the rest of the team will be placed in quarantine.
“Football is, by nature, a sport in which it is not possible to maintain distances. It is necessary to provide for isolation. For underestimating this, we had many problems. So, if you ask me if there is a need for an entire team to be quarantined, if there is a positive case, that answer is very simple “, said Spadafora in the Italian parliament.
