Data that has just been released by the World Bank show that the number of people living on less than US $ 1.90 a day in the country went from 9.25 million in 2017 to 9.3 million in 2018. The calculation of institution – based on an exchange rate that reflects differences in the cost of living of the countries – indicated monthly income for this population of R $ 150, in the case of Brazil, in July 2019.
