A group of British residents in the Algarve raised € 360,000 for the purchase of protective equipment and medical supplies for Algarve hospitals as a way to help fight the covid-19 pandemic, one of the promoters said this Friday.
The group, made up of 300 Britons, residing in Quinta do Lago, in the municipality of Loulé, Faro district, started the donation campaign “a week ago” and raised a value “much higher than initially thought”, Douglas Irvine told Lusa , one of the mentors of the initiative.
