The secretary-general of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres called this Tuesday for global cooperation for what could be the “worst crisis since the organization was founded”, with special attention to the southern hemisphere and the African continent.
Guterres released a UN report titled with the main message: “Shared responsibility, global solidarity: responding to the socio-economic impacts of covid-19” and demanded the cooperation of all countries in a global action for testing, screening and treating the disease, under guidance World Health Organization (WHO).
