The schemes that led the World Anti-Doping Agency to ban Russia from Olympic and world competitions for four years.
The Russian intelligence services have infiltrated into the labs of the Sochi Winter Olympics (Russia, 2014) where anti- doping checks were being carried out, a disguised plumber agent who stole urine samples from athletes who could be accused of doping and replaced them with "clean" ones.
This scheme is one of the well-known examples of how the Russian sports authorities have acted for years and has now led the World Anti-Doping Agency (AMA) to ban the country from international sports competitions for four years because of repeated violations of the anti- doping laws from 2011 to 2015. The decision was "taken unanimously" after a thorough investigation into the methods used by Russians to evade and circumvent controls with the help of state authorities.
