Guilherme Mota was the best Portuguese in the fifth stage

Ben Healy won the fifth stage of the Tour de France of the Future on his own.

Irishman Ben Healy won the fifth stage of the Tour of France of the Future (U-23) on his own. The Portuguese Guilherme Mota was 29th and the Frenchman Simon Guglielmi held the overall lead.

Healy beat the remaining fugitives with a lone attack over the last five kilometers, completing the 158,9 kilometers between Espalion and Saint-Julien-Chapteuil in 4:03.26 hours.
