This Sunday, Sporting took the leadership of the regular phase of the national futsal championship, by winning the Lisbon derby against Benfica, by 2-0, on the 17th round, played at the João Rocha Sports Pavillion.

Sporting's triumph was built with a demonstration of great effectiveness in the first half, thanks to goals from Taynan and Pauleta, to which was added a test of intelligence and cohesion in the management of the advantage in the second half, even in the face of Benfica's final bet, in the 5x4 strategy, still unable to produce a goal.

Joel Rocha's team was even more assertive in the opening minutes of the match, more easily connecting the attack, while the team coached by Nuno Dias reacted mainly in quick transitions.
