Russia presents formal protest against four-year doping ban

"Several documents have been sent to the World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA], including a formal notice of disagreement regarding the sanctions," said RUSADA.

Russia's Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) has formally appealed against the four-year ban that prevents the country from participating in international competitions, including the Olympics, the Moscow-based organization announced today (Dec 27).

"Several documents have been sent to the World Anti-Doping Agency [WADA], including a formal notice of disagreement regarding the sanctions," said RUSADA, whose next step should be an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS).
