It will be the debut of Portugal in the new model, the League of Nations, 'heir' of the World League, after the portuguese national team secured the place by winning the Volleyball Challenger Cup 2018 against the Czech Republic by 3-1 (18-25, 25 -22, 25-19 and 25-16).
In June, Portugal plays against Brazil (1st place in the world ranking), Serbia (11th) and China (20th), but first the team will make its debut in Argentina, May 31 to June 2.
In this South American country, the Portuguese face Argentina, Canada and Bulgaria.
They will then travel to Russia, where, from June 7 to 9, they face the Russian national team, the League of Nations title-holder, United States, and Italy, Olympic runner-up.
This preliminary phase ends in Germany, from June 28 to 30, with Portugal facing Japan, Poland and the German team.
