Portugal trounced Chile and waits for Argentina

The Portuguese national team is in Catalonia in search of its 16th world title, and the first since the triumph in Oliveira de Azeméis, in 2003.

The Portuguese national team of roller hockey trounced their Chile counterpart by 9-4 in a meeting of the third and final round of Group B of the World Cup in Vilanova, Spain.

Jorge Silva, Joao Rodrigues, Hélder Nunes (four), Gonçalo Alves (two) and Rafa sealed the triumph of the Portuguese national team - which was winning 3-1 at mid-time - while Marc Figa, Nicolás Fernandez and Felipe Marquez (two) scored for the South American national team.
