Female Portuguese hockey national team assured on Tuesday the second victory in two games in the European Championship by beating Germany 4-1
In a game that was well-balanced until the break (1-1), the Portuguese team managed in the second half to fine-tune the aim and guarantee another victory. Like in the first game with England, Marlene Sousa was the highlight, being the best scorer of the match with two goals.
In the other games, Spain, who played twice, managed to win with a huge score of 12-0 to Switzerland and 7-1 to Italy.
France also beat England 11-5.
The Spanish team, winner of five editions, including the last four, lead the table with nine points, against the six of Portugal, who on Wednesday re-enters the rink, this time to face France.
The European women's hockey championship runs until Saturday in Mealhada.
