The six-time Formula One champion said he does not work for recognition.

Lewis Hamilton has been dominating Formula 1 in recent years. The Mercedes driver has won his sixth title at an early stage this season and is just one championship behind Michael Schumacher. Many people even say Hamilton is the best driver in Formula One history. However, his achievements seem to lack recognition in England.

"I don't work for recognition, that's not what drives me, and I don't want to think about that either. I'm very fortunate to do what I love and to represent my country in other countries. Maybe things would be different if I were white, but I prefer to focus on the positive things," Hamilton said during a news conference in São Paulo.
