Sergio Marchionne is ill; Louis Camilleri should take over the chairmanship of the automaker

The replacement of Sergio Marchionne in Ferrari deprives Formula 1 from an important combative member, who had threatened to withdraw the oldest and most glamorous team of the sport unless he obtained what he wanted.

Ferrari announced on Saturday that Marchionne, 66, is seriously ill and would be replaced as chairman of the board by John Elkann, a member of the Italian family Agnelli.
