UEFA wants to eradicate racism "disease"

Following the incidents during the England-Bulgaria match, UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin says he is committed to eliminating racism from football.

UEFA said today it is committed to eradicating racism from football, adding that only a joint effort involving governments, football federations and non-governmental organizations can deliver results.

"UEFA is committed to doing everything it can to eliminate this disease from football," UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin said in a statement following the racist incidents that led to the halting of the Euro2020 qualifying match between Bulgaria and England.
