The Portuguese coach is close to winning the Brazilian championship and also the Copa Libertadores final

Jorge Jesus has already informed the people closest to him that his idea, at this moment, is to return to Europe in December, when the Brazilian championship ends. Despite being close to winning the Brasileirão with Flamengo and also competing in the Libertadores Cup final on November 23rd, the Portuguese coach intends to return to the old continent later this year, according to Plataforma.

Flamengo is interested in renewing with Jorge Jesus, and the club is willing to reach five million euros a year to hold the Portuguese coach. However, Jorge Jesus has not given up hope of training in one of the best championships in Europe and his manager Pini Zahavi is working to that end.

Despite being at the threshold of conquering the Brasileirão (his team can be champion this weekend) and with the possibility of winning the Libertadores Cup, against the River Plate of Argentina, Jorge Jesus thinks there is little else he can do in South America. This was the message he gave to those closest to him.

Jesus' continuity cannot be discarded, but Flamengo will face severe difficulties renewing the coach's contract. It should be said that there has not yet been any conversation between Flamengo's management and the coach. Flamengo approached Jesus' manager to explain its interest in renewing and the money it could offer. Jorge Jesus, however, was peremptory: he only speaks after the Libertadores Cup final.

If a club of one of the main European championships really appears, Jorge Jesus will accept the offer. Platforma also knows that the coach would prefer to return to Portugal rather than staying in Brazil, but in this case, only with a project allowing him to be champion and to fight for the European competitions. If none of these scenarios arises by the end of the year, then Jorge Jesus will be able to accept Flamengo's offer, but always with a clause allowing him to leave to Europe later.

What is certain is that now, early November, Jorge Jesus is determined to return to Europe and everyone around him knows this intention well.
