Portuguese coach was champion of Brasileirão and Libertadores last week.
Jorge Jesus caused another drop in the Brasileirão. This time it was Mano Menezes to be fired from Palmeiras, after the defeat with Flamengo on Sunday. The Brazilian coach had a fair play gesture at the beginning of the game and went to the Fla shower room to congratulate Jesus for winning the Libertadores and the Brazilian championship, but was not expecting the dismissal at the end of the game.
Mano Menezes was the sixth coach of a Brazilian team to leave office after a defeat with the big guy after Scolari, Fábio Carille, Alberto Valentin, Claudinei Oliveira and Adilson Batista. And with the curiosity that both Mano and Scolari left Palmeiras, the team that was leading the championship on the arrival of the Portuguese in charge of the red-blacks.
