Flamengo assumes responsibility for the fire that killed ten youths

Brazilian club pledged to provide assistance to the families of the victims.

Flamengo has taken on "all responsibilities" for the death of ten boys in a fire at the soccer club training center, said Eduardo Gussem, Attorney General of the Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office, today.

'The presidency of Flamengo assumed all responsibilities in relation to the event (fire at the training center) and pledged to provide all and any support to the families and handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office the leading role in this negotiation with the families for immediate reparations', Gussem told the Brazilian press after a meeting with club officials.
