Guiné-Bissau entered the African Nations Cup (CAN) of 2019 with a 2-0 loss to Cameroon, who started their best title defense in Egypt.

After 0-0 at the break in Ismailia, Yaya Banana in the 66th minute and Stephane Bahoken in the 69th, scored the goals of Cameroon's victory, who are already taking the lead in Group F, awaiting the outcome of the game between Ghana and Benin, which completes today's opening day of the group stage.

The Guinean national team is still looking for their first win in the CAN after their debut two years ago, not having passed the first phase with a draw and two defeats, one of them also with Cameroon.
