The Swedish Lennart Johansson, former UEFA president between 1990 and 2007, died this Wednesday at the age of 89.
The Swedish Football Association said in a statement that Lennart Johansson, a former UEFA president (Union of European Football Associations) and former vice-president of FIFA (International Football Federation), died after a "short illness".
"The Swedish football is mourning. Lennart Johansson is dead. Our thoughts go to the family and to those closest to them", said the federation.
